About the Artist

“We’re going to talk about me again, are we? Goody.”

-Katharine Hepburn, The Philadelphia Story

Calling her work Soft but Sinister, Rachel Morgan Kitti is able to highlight the duality of her loves of old Hollywood charm and the gritty underworld of Noir. dusty old detective novels, shimmering satin gowns. tear stained cheeks, swirling cigarette smoke. lipstick marked glasses. high heels on wet pavement, explosive repressed emotions. smoking guns. dark shadows, hazey light. wicked smirks, angry glowing eyes. feminine power. seduction, charm, wit, intelligence.

Growing up with a working artist grandfather, Peder Kitti, Rachel has always been surrounded by art. Following in his footsteps, she devoted her life to art and earned a Bachelor degree in Fine Art from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her work is housed in private collections across the U.S. and Europe.
